Egg binding is a normal problem, but if it is not treated at the right time, then there are more chances of death of female bird. Which is caused by the bird keeping eggs in the stomach and fails to pass egss. Mostly this problem is found in female birds such as: - Gravel parrots, cocktails, love birds, finches, big and small birds.
Symptoms
A bird suffering from egg binding will swell in its stomach and fall off its tail. The bird will have difficulty balancing on the perch. And there is very weakness in the feet. Birds stops drinking and sits in a corner of the cage with his wings puffed up.
Reason
Egg binding occurs naturally due to the inability to release eggs, and is usually due to a lack of calcium in the birds' diet.
Treatment
Do not attempt to remove the eggs yourself, as you may damage the bird or birds may also die. Instead, take the birds to the vet or to an experience bird breeder.
Some important things
Give multivitamin and calcim to the birds 2-3 days a week. So that there is no shortage of birds
